D e s i g n s - (Design Patents)
As of July 2002, Switzerland
has a new Design Law (www.ige.ch)
that strengthens the position of the holder of design rights. Under
this law, protection of industrial designs may often support or even
replace patents. The fast progress in electronics for example calls
for substantial investment if continuous patent protection is required.
In such a case, one and the same industrial design may serve as an "envelope"
for several generations of technical solutions.
We file designs worldwide and
adapt them to the local practice of the respective national offices.
